Our commitment
Have you ever thought on what to do with a caravan you no longer want or use?
We buy unwanted, unused, damaged, and damp caravans. We dismantle and recycle all caravans we deem unfit for purpose to ensure you and your family or friends can enjoy memorable holidays with us.
MATTA Lodge Recycled is committed to minimising how much outdoor kit goes to waste. We refurbish our caravans and, if they are beyond repair, we strip off every component that can be used again, and use those parts to repair other caravans.
The more wood that is recycled, the less trees that have to be felled.
A single piece of wood can be reused and recycled through a succession of different products, reducing the volume of virgin wood that needs to be harvested from forests.
Our fences are made from pellets, old poles that came from a vineyard and wood sheets that came from a printing shop.
Choosing LED lights indoor was the most sustainable choice to make, Worldwide, around 20% of electricity is consumed in lighting. LED can make a big impact on the energy use. Use 85% less electricity for the same light output.
Outdoor we use LED solar lights. They represent a clean, green source of energy, and are a great way to reduce carbon footprint. Solar power when used does not produce greenhouse gasses and it does not use too many resources to function
The centenary wash basins were found at the farm where the lodge is located. Some of them were underground, we cleaned them and gave them a second life.
Most of our furniture was grabbed from the thrash and refurbished. The outside tables and benches are electric wire wooden coils.
The MATTA Lodge Tree Team works to plant, preserve, and promote fruit trees in our land.
We like that they provide food and shade at the same time. Our mission is to have in every little corner of our Lodge a fruit tree, we already have orange, lemon and olive trees and Indian fig, we just planted banana trees and passion fruit.
We are just people who like fruit trees.
One person’s trash is another’s luxury !
Long story short:
WE RETHINK, WE REUSE, WE REDUCE, WE RECYCLE
